Okay, so firstly I'm new to the whole blogging scene - so do bear with me as this could be a long post! And secondly, I thought what better first blog post to do than a beauty tag?
I've come across plenty of beauty tags when procrastinating on Youtube and reading through blogs, but never partaken in one myself. No time like the present, eh? It just so happens that when looking for inspiration for my first post, I came across 'The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag' on The Beau Bow's blog. Very fitting as I know all too well about procrastinating... Admit it, you do it too. Also I figured it'd be a good way to introduce myself.
"Put off for one day and 10 days will pass" - korean proverb.
So down to the rules...
Rules:
1. You must copy and paste these 'rules' onto your post when you write it, it doesn't take long!.
2. You must state that this tag was created by 'The Beau Bow' and link www.thebeaubow.blogspot.com
3. You must thank the person who tagged you at the start of your post (link their blog as well) -follow them if you're feeling nice!, and then at the end of your post state who you tag, and then comment on their blog on their latest post to let them know you tagged them, and link your post so they can see what to do.
4. Title this post 'The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG' so everyone knows what it is about.
5. Have fun! :)
It's as easy as that. Now for the questions:
1. Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?
Using a toner. I just don't understand what they're for? I know a lot of people use a toner to make sure they've got all of their makeup off, but I know my face wash does that (from the odd times I do use a toner) so although I have one somewhere in my collection, I rarely ever use it. Also it's not often that I actually remember to use a facemask. Mainly because I'm yet to see the benefit of those either.
2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
Not as much as I should! I really should start cleaning them more... Obviously it's important to clean your brushes regularly, especially if you're prone to break outs. But admittedly, in the past, cleaning my brushes was something I never even thought about! Luckily, my beauty habits have gotten better since. I always seem to remember just before I do my makeup and then completely forget afterwards. Not good. Definitely need to improve on that one.
3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
If I've not long painted my nails and a chip appears, I generally just do a touch up. However if a few nails appear to chip around the same time, I'll usually do one of two things; leave it for a few days before deciding to dig out the nail polish remover, or start picking the remaining bits off because I'm bored and the patches irritate me, which usually takes a few days... and eventually give up and dig out the nail polish remover.
4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty product even if you need it?
If I have the money, I'll usually run out and buy another as soon as I see signs that the current product is coming to an end. I hate getting to the end of a product I really like, then having to 'settle' with one I'd tossed aside until I buy another. Foundation's the worst to do this with. It's almost enough to ruin your day, so I try to avoid the desperate attempts to get the remaining few drops out. (I think everyone can relate to that one!)
5. What's your worst beauty habit?
Moisturising!! Although I make sure to moisturise my face, neck and chest EVERY DAY, twice a day, other areas to admittedly go neglected. It's bad, I know. But the truth is, I'm just too lazy to moisturise all over every.single.day. But hey, I moisturise the rest after I shower. That's good enough right?.. Oh, and making trips to the hair dressers. I'm terrible for that.
6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
Being a classic procrastinator, I always put off the important things like assignments, and appointments or phone calls I need to make. I do get round to them eventually though, it just takes that urge of motivation.
7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute or not?
I wear makeup a lot, and refuse to go out of the house without any on. Therefore I can NEVER leave getting ready to the last minute! If I'm going on a night out etc. I usually start getting ready a couple of hours before (typical girl) but I hate to be rushed.
8. Can you commit to spending bans?
Erm... no. I spend way more than I can afford and usually I don't even end up liking/using the products I've bought! I usually make spending bans and later convince myself 'well, I do need it'.Recently though, I've decided I need to make a limit, and STICK TO IT!
9. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collection?
It's kind of organised. I have one makeup bag with all the makeup I use on a general day-to-day basis, another with all the makeup I use less often (selection of coloured eyeliners, bronzer, foundations I don't particularly care for but don't want to waste, etc.) and a box containing all of my nail polishes, nail polish remover, back-up moisturisers etc., tweezers, nail files/clippers, hair clips etc. I have a palette of eye shadows so they're kept separate entirely.
10.What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
Considering this is my first blog post, I obviously haven't written one in the past. But I thought I'd include this question anyway for anyone that has. I do plan to do a regular post at least once a week. I need a new hobby so blogging is going to be it.
And last but not least...
I tag all of you.
Thanks to anyone who makes it to the end of this post, I hope to read your Procrastination Beauty Blogger tags very soon!
